As a healthcare provider wishing to offer Dancing for Health classes at your establishment you can either:
• Hire one of our existing Dancing for Health Instructors or
• Have a member of your current staff and/or volunteers trained through our certified and accredited qualification course. - This would provide a sustainable framework for your hospice or hospital. These trainees would also have our full support during their development, as well as any help and advice they may need.
Our programmes are easy for facilitators to organise and deliver. The class sizes are usually small, which will give the facilitator the ability and scope to modify the dance moves to fit individual needs where necessary.
Taking infleunce from 5 different partner dance styles, the classes are specifically designed in such a way to be easy to learn. That way goals are more achievable and can involve everyone - no matter what their ability. It's a gentler and safer way of getting the body moving. You could almost describe it as if you're walking to the music.
How long are the courses and how can patients continue treatment?
Whoever delivers the Dancing for Health programmes may agree a set course, for example 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 40 weeks, whereas others may provide classes over a longer term. Ultimately, we hope our Dancing for Health programmes will be a stepping stone for some patients to build confidence and courage and be able to walk into a public class and continue their dance journey.
YOU CAN BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AT YOUR OWN ESTABLISHMENT WITH A MEMBER OF OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM.
